Managing Director
Christof Metz

Christof has many years of experience in the energy sector. In various positions at private equity investors, asset managers, and project developers, he has successfully overseen numerous M&A transactions. Christof has worked on both the buy and sell sides. Even during his engineering studies, Christof focused on innovative energy projects as part of the planning of a power-to-gas plant. In his subsequent management studies, he concentrated on a specific form of financing for renewable energy projects using publicly listed vehicles (so-called yield co-financing companies).

Johannes Metz
Johannes has a background in civil engineering and many years of experience in the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects. Throughout his career, he has worked in various project phases, undertaking both conceptual and operational tasks. His expertise lies in the technical evaluation, planning, and supervision of construction projects. He combines in-depth technical understanding with a holistic view of project requirements, interfaces, and implementation risks, thus making a significant contribution to the efficient and high-quality realization of projects.

Anne Bilic-Metz
Anne has a solid commercial education and many years of practical experience in various business areas. Her professional career includes positions in sales administration, project management, and general administration. Currently, she is responsible for accounting, office management, and central administrative tasks within the company. With her exceptional organizational skills and reliability, she supports internal processes and contributes to an efficient company structure.
Senior Consultant
Pascal Picard
Pascal brings extensive experience in corporate finance and renewable energy investments. After completing a banking apprenticeship and earning a degree in business administration from Goethe University Frankfurt (including an internship in Group Treasury), he worked for five years as an investment manager at an asset management firm. There, he was responsible for transactions, due diligence processes, and portfolio management for solar, wind, and battery storage projects, and structured a solar development joint venture. He gained further corporate finance experience at a company specializing in sustainable energy supply.
At METZ Energy Consulting, he now draws on this in-depth practical experience to actively drive the strategic expansion of sustainable energy projects.

Antonio Arenas
Antonio has been gaining practical experience in the renewable energy sector for several years. Through various internships, he has gained insights into different areas of the industry and further deepened his professional interest. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Management at the University of Würzburg, where he focuses on business administration and strategic issues. As a working student, he supports the team in ongoing projects, contributing his analytical thinking skills and new perspectives gained from his studies.

Dennis Elistratow
Dennis brings experience from various roles in the financial and business sectors. These experiences have given him a keen understanding of analytical and transaction-related tasks. At the same time, he is deepening his knowledge of finance through a master’s program in management at the University of Würzburg. As a working student, he actively supports ongoing transactions.

The goal: to lead complex projects to success through tailored consulting services.

Photovoltaic system on a club building in Karlstadt
On the roof of the Karlstadt bowling center, we have installed the largest rooftop photovoltaic system in the city to date, with a capacity of 185 kWp. The system, consisting of 425 modules, has been feeding green electricity into the grid since the beginning of the year, setting new standards for local club buildings.
2024 | Christof Metz has been contributing his expertise as a senior advisor at Capcora since 2024. In the areas of M&A and debt advisory, he supports project developers in complex sales processes (sell-side). His particular focus is on PV development projects, platform deals, and modern co-location projects including battery energy storage systems (BESS).

2023
2023 | In order to achieve optimal results even in complex contractual situations, Christof Metz completed the Executive Education Program at the renowned WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in 2023. The focus here was on professional negotiation skills. He now uses these honed skills to successfully represent his clients' interests in strategic discussions.
2022-
2024
2022 - 2024 | From 2022 to 2024, he worked at SENS / Iqony Energy Solutions at the interface between EPC, development, and operations. The focus was on acquiring construction-ready projects and building up an IPP portfolio. At the same time, he managed international transactions in Greece and Italy.
Power-to-Gas plant
A power-to-gas plant was built for Windgas Haßfurt GmbH, producing renewable hydrogen from surplus green electricity. The project enables the long-term storage of wind energy in the gas network and supplies around 20,000 customers with green gas. Furthermore, the plant actively stabilizes the electricity grid thanks to its rapid response time.
2015-
2020
2015 - 2020 | From 2015 to 2020, Christof Metz worked at SolarKapital in Frankfurt as a private equity investor focusing on solar energy. A key success here was the development of an M&A strategy for an O&M service provider, whose portfolio he scaled from 250 MW to over 1,500 MW. In addition, he was responsible for deal origination and designed tailor-made direct investment strategies for German family offices.
2013
2013 | In 2013, Christof Metz expanded his expertise to include strategic financial knowledge at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. As an M.Sc. in Management, he delved deeper into the areas of corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. Thematically, he remained loyal to the energy sector and highlighted the role of ‘YieldCos’ as investment vehicles.

2009 | Christof Metz graduated with a degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) from the THWS Würzburg-Schweinfurt in 2009. As part of his mechanical engineering studies, he focused intensively on ‘power-to-gas’ technology. He thus began his career with a clear focus on innovative energy solutions.
